Tyreen Kapoor

Tyreen is the SIP’s Data Curation Specialist. Tyreen has a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC) and a Masters of Science degree from Carleton University (Ottawa, ON). Through science-education work experiences, Tyreen developed a keen interest in understanding how scientific information can be communicated and made accessible to users. Her Master’s research explored knowledge exchange practices to better understand how to bridge the gap between science and policy in the forestry sector and make space for evidence-informed practices. When she is away from her desk, she loves to make pottery and explore the outdoors.
