Mingrui Liu

Mingrui holds an MSc. in Silviculture and Wildfire and a BSc. in Forestry from the University of British Columbia, where he majored in Forest Resources Management. With a research background in the interactions between silviculture and wildfire behaviour, he is especially interested in helping translate wildfire resilience research into practical silviculture approaches. In his role as Synthesis Specialist, Mingrui supports the synthesis of existing silviculture knowledge and networks in BC to help advance innovation in forestry practices across the province. Outside of work, he can be found exploring the mountains and lakes — or sleeping in late with his well-fed cat.
