Our primary goal of the Knowledge Summit is to foster collaboration among practitioners and knowledge holders to address British Columbia’s most urgent silviculture challenges. By bringing these experts together, we aim to analyze the current state of knowledge of innovative silviculture in BC, and co-create research and extension priorities. Furthermore, we are dedicated to elevating voices and perspectives that are often overlooked in traditional forestry forums. We believe that by amplifying these voices, we can create a more inclusive and well-rounded approach to tackling the challenges at hand. In addition to this, we are committed to establishing a resilient network of practitioners and knowledge holders who will not only develop innovative solutions but also carry them forward into practice and implementation. Through this network, we hope to inspire positive change and usher in a new era of innovative silviculture practices in British Columbia.
